Cuticle Oil application daily is a MUST! We condition our hair daily when washed, and oil must be applied
nightly to maintain the seal between the polish and natural nail. Apply at the cuticle and free-edge of nail. If
you massage oil at cuticle, it will stimulate your nails to grow like weeds, if that is what you desire. Apply
Cuticle oil before Lotion for best result.
You have several options after application:
The first is to LOVE Them! Cuticle oil application is necessary to achieve the maximum 3 week wear of this
manicure. During the next 3 weeks you will notice that your polish is growing out at the cuticle. So your
options are: 1) call for an appointment, come in and get them redone. 2) Soak them off yourself. 3) File them
down to a manageable length and re-polish them yourself with your own nail polish that is similar in color or
darker, 2 coats & a top coat. This works the best when you have had the first application, and there is no
separation at the cuticle or sidewall. If there is just file it slightly, usually this happens if there was a bit of
cuticle stuck to the nail plate during application. Eventually you will have to soak off the gel polish, but enjoy
the added strength it adds to your nail.
Gel Polish can sometimes be peeled of or picked off like regular nail polish. RESIST the urge to do this. It will
thin out your nails and make them weak. We cannot have the best of both worlds, where the Gel polish stays on
and then comes off like regular nail polish. Gel polish is meant to BOND to your natural nail bed, until it is
taken off. If using mineral makeup, make sure you use brush to avoid discoloring!

HISTORY:
Gels have been in existence for 20 or so years. Because they are premixed, there is very little ability for human
error in application, allowing them to be worn on strong, flexible nails. Prior to this year, gels were not
dissolvable in a solvent like Pure Acetone. Gel colors have also been available for 15 years or so in a pot. This
new Revolutionary system has taken the science of the gel, and made it more user friendly by thinning out the
viscosity of the gel, putting it in a polish bottle with brush, and allowing it to be soak-offable.
CRACKS, SPLITS, BREAKS:
If you have a crack, split or broken nail, it is easily repairable with acrylic. Crack/split repairs are $3.00 each
and a broken nail can be extended for $5.00 per nail. $10. in between appt.
Preventive maintenance with oil is the is the best remedy.
If you wish to repair a crack/split your self at home, an easy remedy is to empty out a tea bag, using the bag as
a fiber. File the cracked area slightly for better adhesion, apply a small amount of NAIL GLUE (not super glue)
on crack and place a small cut piece of bag fiber on top of glue for support. File the area smooth and repolish
with top coat for finish. Apply oil around rings at top of Glue bottle to prevent it from gluing to itself.
REMOVAL:
Removal kits are available for $10.00. At home, swipe top of nail 3 times with file. Use PURE ACETONE, in
double bowl. Hot water in bottom, pure acetone in top bowl. Do one hand at a time, soak for 15 minutes. Using
a orange wood stick, gently scrape off Gel polish. Soak additional time if needed to remove remaining residue.
If you are returning for a service there is no additional charge for removal.
